Postdoctoral opportunities

We are always interested in receiving applications from outstanding young researchers who wish to do postdoctoral work at the Division. As we receive many unsolicited requests every day, please ensure that, before contacting the Division you:

• research our website to find out about our activities.
• identify potential research areas of interest and the faculty involved in them.
• draft a concept proposal (0.5-1 page) for a potential research project.
• submit the proposal (or several), a cover letter, your CV and a list of references to the faculty in question.

There may be opportunities to apply for stipends and funds in Sweden (a few examples are listed in the Useful links section on this page) or your own country of residence with the support of the faculty in question. Note that such applications take considerable time, and most stipends only process applications once per year, so that a lead-time of at least a year is recommended.

Some postdoctoral positions are also advertised on the university vacant-positions website.
